A Birthday Car

This is the second card we will assemble in this months card class. Here is another example for a birthday card for the men in your life. I think this is a card that could fit your husband, boyfriend, father, nephew, son....

I used a dark red card stock as the base for this card. I then adhered a strip of  twilight card stock, followed buy a piece of design paper and finished with a strip of black card stock.

I stamped the car image only partially on a white piece of card stock that is matted on a piece of grey one. I folded a piece of ribbon in half, trimmed the edges and adhered it with a little bit of scotch tape to the back of the car piece. The tape is the perfect way to secure the ribbon and to easily set the staple without having to fight with it :-)
The car piece with ribbon attached is then adhere to the card with some foam dots.

A Happy Birthday phrase is stamped in black ink on a piece of white card stock. I attached both brads to it before I adhered the tab with foam dots to the card.

Well this is card number two from this months card class...stay tuned for more...
