December Card Class Project 2 - Pinwheel Christmas Card

This is the second card from my December Card Making Class. Please let me know if you have questions or like any measurements. I used the Close to My Heart design paper collection “Cedar&Pine” and “Evergreen” cardstock for this project.

 Here is our last card class project for 2021. Yes, it already has been a year. For our December class we will make something special so stay tuned for that. But back to this card. I love this "shadowing" technique with the white pigment ink and a hint of color on top. Wonder how this technique was done? Check back here for the video instructions. This week we have a look at another different style of dressing up your cardbase with a simple fold. Easel cards are a wonderful way to add to any Holiday. The stamp set used is a retired nativity scene and it works perfect for this design. The individual parts of the set are stamped on circles and yes, you can leave them as circles, but I cut the bottom part of to give it more interest.

Here is the second card we made in my November Card Class. A few paper pieces and embellishments starting this one out. The main focus though is the beautiful stamp set used here. I embossed it with some gold glitter powder to make it shiny and sparkle.

 We are down to four more Christmas cards in Novembers card-making class. This is a simple but effective way to change your regular quarter cards into a special fold. Check out the upcoming video.

I used the Close To My Heart “Holly & Ivy - Cardmaking Stamp Set” (C1907) for this card. Love the Santa! The set also came with matching dies, but these are sold out.

This is the last Christmas card project from my October Class. Today we put a little elegant touch on this one with a very delicate bell die. Again just a few simple embellishments and more important some meaningful phrases. What do you think of this card?

Sometimes the simple ways are the best. It doesn't have to be the traditional Christmas colors every time, right? One of my favorite non- traditional color combination is white, toffee (gold) and red. Make sure to use foam spacers to give your card a bit more dimension. Use the thinner foam tape Close to My Heart offers so the project isn't getting too bulky.

This is our first Christmas Card project from my October class. (Z3900) is the "Merry Borders Stamp & Die" that is a retired set, but there are still a few available. Check it out, you use multiple stamps to create this beautiful border. The design paper is from the current Holly & Ivy design paper pack. What do you like best about this card?

Pumpkin Spice and Gourds Card

 

Yes, I can't get enough of this pretty "Pumpkin Spice" papers and the "A World with Octobers" stamps. Here is another idea using the stamped pumpkin images and color them in with grey shades of the Tri-Blend Markers. The gourds look so real.

September Card Class Project 4 - Video

 

Here is the last project from our September card making class. This one is using not only our new card stock colors shortbread (warm yellowbeige), papaya (red-orange-coral) and harbour (green-grey-blue), but we also use three designs of the “Pumpkin Spice” paper collection. If you love the paper as much as I do, make sure to order it right now, because it will retire on October 31st if it doesn’t run out before then.
