Tips & Tricks - Part 8 Photos and Extra Photo Storage

Have you ever found yourself in the predicament of having too many photos you wanted to add to a page and not enough room left? I am pretty sure we all have been at that point at one time in our craft lives. So what can you do? Add an extra layout or two? Well that is a possibility, but often we have not enough extra pictures for another layout. Here is a wonderful solution that not only keeps your page uncluttered but it also adds more pictures and interactions to it.
Watch the video to see how Close to My Heart’s  “FlipFlaps” and “Pocket Plus” can make this happen. Plus a little extra bonus storage on top ;-)

You can find all extra storage possibilities as well as page and pocket protectors in the Close To My Heart Core Idea Book on page 92 -95 and Albums on page 88-91.

Today I give you just a quick look into the coloring tools Close to My Heart is offering. Since each medium/ tool is working in a different way I will go more into detail with a different “Coloring 101” video coming up soon. Here are links to the products shown in this video:

- Water-based Ink Pads:
https://claudiahenderson.closetomyheart.com/Retail/Products.aspx?CatalogID=235 (Use what you have on hand to color you stamped images in)
- Watercolor Pencils: https://claudiahenderson.closetomyheart.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=13092&ci=16140 (My absolute No.1 pick for coloring and great for beginners as well as pros. Don’t miss out on the coloring video showing you all the possibilities with this simple set)
- Watercolor Paints: https://claudiahenderson.closetomyheart.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=8637&ci=6273 ( great for backgrounds, paint splashes and relatively inexpensive)
- Alcohol Markers: https://claudiahenderson.closetomyheart.com/Retail/Products.aspx?CatalogID=237 (These Tri-blend markers are a great edition to your coloring tools since they already come with 3 different shades of one color so you can easily blend these. They are a bigger investment but if you love coloring, these are great to have) - Distress Oxide Inks: https://claudiahenderson.closetomyheart.com/Retail/Products.aspx?CatalogID=344 Like I mentioned in the video, this is just a quick overlook what is available. All these products work in a different way and on different papers in some cases. You also need to pay attention to the stamping ink you use for the outlines of your images before you get started. My Coloring 101 series will start in a few week and you can find them here on my YouTube channel. Make sure to subscribe and please give me a thumbs up if you like the video. Thank you and see you back soon...

Tips & Tricks - Part 5 Variety of Inks and Uses

Tips & Tricks is back on track and today we have a look into inks. There are so many different varieties on the market and while they all seemed to be different, there are only a few major differences you need to remember. What is the difference between these inks and what project can I use them for? These are just 2 of the questions  I will try to answer. So enjoy the video and please give it a thumbs up and subscribe by going to my YouTube channel.

Although I will mainly talk about inks we have in the Idea Book, you still will find all information to be used with all other inks on the market. We have a close look at our Exclusive water-based inks, our pigment inks, the different varieties of black inks and the new distress inks. You can find all Exclusive Inks and the Pigment Inks online HERE.

For the variety of black inks, just type in the following product numbers in the search bar on the website above and you will see all information for them as well:

- Exclusive Black Ink   Z 2805 (regular stamping ink, water-based)

- Intense Black Exclusive Ink   Z4189 (intense black like Memento Ink, great for coloring)

- Archival Black Ink   Z3271 (waterproof, deepest black)

- StazOn Black Ink   Z888 (Solvend Ink, great for all non-porous surfaces like metal, glas, vellum, acetates photos etc., needs a special cleaner!!! and will stain your stamps over time a lot)

My two favorite inks in black I would suggest for anyone starting out with stamping and coloring are the Exclusive Black Ink and the Intense Black Exclusive Ink. They will cover most of projects easily.

Tips & Tricks - Part 2 Adhesive and Adhesive Eraser

Today’s topic is adhesive and which one is the best for your paper crafting needs. It is hard to determine which adhesive is the best, because our needs for projects and our personal preferences are so different. What I can do is explain to you which adhesive will do what for you and which one you might want to have in your stack. There are many adhesives on the market and if you are using one for year and are happy with it, keep it :-) But if you struggled in the past to find the perfect one, maybe you need a little help to explore the different uses of them. I hope to be able to provide you with some more information in this short videos and that it will help along the way.

No adhesive is perfect and they all have issues along the way, but we can minimize them and learn to take advantage of the “good” sides. Please feel free to contact me or leave a comment if you have further questions about adhesives.....and don’t forget to check out the one MAGIC TOOL that is a must have for every crafter ;-)

I have shared the video on my Facebook page so you can follow me there to keep up with them or if you are not on FB, find me on YouTube. Please give me a thumbs up if you like the video and subscribe to see more of them. Happy Crafting everyone
