Close To My Heart - - - Shipping Update
I am sure everyone of you who ordered during the boxing sale week is anxiously waiting for their new goodies to arrive and is wondering what has happened to my package.
Well here is an update on the shipping progress and I have been keeping a close eye on your orders too (and my own ones 😉 ). CTMH did anticipated a big turnout for the Boxing Sale Week and it can be said, it exceeded their expectations. While CTMH was prepared with staff to handle the extra orders, at one point more staff had to be hired short term to help with all the orders rolling in. Finally shipping is almost caught up. All orders placed on Dec 31 will be packaged and send on their way today or tomorrow. So thank you for you patience and I know it has been a long stretch this time.
Any orders placed after Dec 31 should be following asap too. I know CTMH is doing their very best to prepare for these events and I appreciate when they are upfront with us. Let me give you a few insides what is going on behind the scenes sometimes:
- First off there are the end of the quarters sale increases. We as Makers have quarters to fill and some Makers wait until the last minute to do that. This will increase orders on the 30/31 of Mar, Jun, Sep and Dec… So Dec 31 was one of these days!
- When a Special ends and in our case the end of the Boxing Week Sale, this will put more pressure on the warehouse and the shipping process
- And if there is a Holiday involved well you know how this goes.
At the end of 2022 we had all 3 scenarios come together and I know everyone at headquarters was ready to push some overtime to battle the storm.
This all been said, if you have ordered before, you know that the turn-around time from the moment you place your order to the time your package is going out the door is usually only a few days. Sometime if everything goes well (incl FedEx) you even get your packages 3-4 days later.
Ones your package leaves CTMH and is checked in with FedEx, then it is pretty much out of CTMH’s hands and we have to rely on FedEx to do their job. So this is another reason why packages have been so slow coming since before Christmas. FedEx had some major issues weather delays, finding drivers, delivery people etc, but things are going smoother now.
