Super easy to creat and fun to make. The template for this card is from the Close to My Heart - How to Book (Volume 5). Book includes page layouts single and double and card templates.

Floating Stripes Card - Class Project

Here is another fun card and great technique to use up some of your scraps. I had leftover pieces from  a card I designed for my card making class (this card will come up at a later time) and happen to get a design tutorial from Splittcoaststampers using stripes of papers and a sheet of acetate.

I adhered the strips to my acetate sheet and raised it with foam so it appears to be floating on the card. The nice thing is that the foam is hidden beneath the strips ;-)

Convention 2021 and Color of the Year 2022

 

Close to My Heart is currently holding their 2021 Convention. Yes it is virtual and for me the first time in over 12 years I am able to attend. Yeah!!!! Lot’s of new and exciting things coming your way and while I am waiting for day 2 to start let’s do some brainstorming. Yes, I can’t reveal any details about all the new and exciting things to come, but let’s play a little guess game.

Get Well Soon Card - Class Project

 Get Well Soon Card - using up some scraps

I used some paper scraps I had laying around from the "Sweet Girl" paper and a turquoise glitter paper that has been retires a while ago. Plus a few pieces of cardstock was all that was needed to make this card. See the little blue sprinkles on the card?

I used the Ocean Gloss Spray (Z3822) by shaking the bottle well, then unscrew the top and just flick the top part over the card base before adding the papers.

Happy July 1st! What a finish we had at the end of June with out paper collections “Hillside Cottage” and “Stars&Sparkels”.
